Mosdell Sanitation was started by Ellis Mosdell and his father Charles in 1946. Ellis and Charles collected food scraps for the cafes in Cedar City to feed their pigs. Many of the business owners started asking if while they were picking up the slop they would also take the garbage, trash or what ever you want to call it. So they did. Mosdell Sanitation was born.
Ellis and Connie ran Mosdell Sanitation until 1988 when Greg and Myra, with 4 children in tow, returned to Cedar City to take over and continue the family tradition. (A big leap of faith to leave California and a great job with the Sequoia National Forest to haul garbage)
